Week Seventeen - Quilt Fourteen - Wonky X's!

I made this quilt top in Florida in the spring and added borders last week. It had come from a layer cake but I just happened to have the inner border and binding from a 'grab bag' I had bought at a local quilt shop. So, that worked out well.
 A little close-up!
The last two backings I've done were not very creative so I decided to take just a little more time and add some pizazz to the back. I think it worked!
A popcorn pantograph to finish this cute little quilt!

Week Sixteen - Quilt Thirteen - Chinese Coins!

Chinese Coins Strippy Quilt is finished! Let's see, this was begun in May 2009. Guess it's about time for a finish! It took such a short time to put those blocks and sashing together.
We get side-tracked sometimes and the projects go into a box . . . sometimes never to show up again.
As usual, I pieced the back. The flowers were part of the front of the quilt and the binding was the perfect amount, leftover from the original guild challenge quilt I made.

Week Fifteen - Quilt Twelve - Green Eggs & Ham!

This "little quilt" which measures 20" x 26" is made from leftover half-square triangles from the 2012 SBOW. So of course, thinking this would be a quick quilt to finish, I dove right into it. Thus the name! I do not like sewing half-square triangles together, especially when they finish at 1.5" - sort of like "I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like them, Sam I am."
However, I DO like the way it turned out. Simple and those beautiful fabrics all put together.
A nice little table topper and it is FINISHED!

Week Fourteen - Quilt Eleven - Charm Squares!

I cut squares for this quilt in 2010, sewed many blocks in May 2013, and now in October 2013, the blocks became a quilt!
There are two different block styles involved and then some squares added for fillers. After I had finally pieced all the blocks I wanted, I just said, enough piecing, it is finished.
Just another close up and the backing below.
I rarely have pieces of fabric this large - 3 yards or so, but it was so beautiful I bought more for a blended quilt.
Beautiful roses and one more quilt checked off my list!
